Anjali Sharma of LIME Lab, teaches coding and making to girls in a full-day Saturday workshop using the Arduino Micro Controller.
As part of the STEMinista Saturday program, LIME Lab offers a full-day Arduino coder & maker workshop to girls at the Michigan Science Center in Detroit. The goal was to teach girls the basics of coding and electronics in a fun, hands-on way. We spent the day learning how to program Arduino microcontrollers to control components like LEDs, buzzers, and sensors. It was great to see everyone get excited about building their own projects and trying out new ideas. The workshop was a cool way to explore tech and show how programming can be both creative and practical.
Note: LIME Lab is a founding community partner of the Michigan Science Center’s STEMinista program. No programming experience was assumed of the program participants.
