2023 Holiday Break: Arduino Programming camp at the Lincoln Branch of Detroit Public Library
In partnership with the Detroit Public Library’s Lincoln Branch on 7 Mile Road, LIME Lab hosted a two-day Arduino Code & Maker Camp on December 27 and 28. This event, primarily aimed at girls but welcoming to all, introduced students to the fundamentals of programming and electronics. Participants engaged in hands-on projects, learning to program and control devices such as LEDs, buzzers, servo motors, touch sensors, and light sensors using Arduino microcontrollers. The camp covered essential topics, including programming basics, electronics principles, microcontroller understanding, and the creation and control of electronic devices through coding.
No programming background was assumed for students. This initiative aligns with the Detroit Public Library’s mission to empower the community through diverse learning opportunities.
