Anjali Sharma of LIME Lab Teaches Arduino, Coding and Electronics to Girls @ the Parkman Branch of the Detroit Public Library.
Over three consecutive weekends, LIME Lab partnered with the Detroit Public Library’s Parkman Branch to run an awesome Arduino coder & maker workshop.
The goal was simple: get girls excited about coding and electronics through hands-on projects. Using Arduino microcontrollers, they learned how to program and control things like LEDs, buzzers, and sensors. It was amazing to see their creativity and problem-solving skills in action. This program was all about making tech fun and accessible, and having girls experience building and controlling devices. This collaboration aligns with the Parkman Branch’s commitment to providing dynamic pathways to literacy and learning, as highlighted in their recent feature on community engagement.
Note: No programming experience was expected of the program participants.
